• Fixed a claim page erroring for anyone viewing a debate with a reply to a reply. The v1.9.2.0 fix for hidden third-level replies introduced a bug of its own that broke the page entirely for affected claims, showing a stuck loading state instead of the debate. Reverted the underlying cause; the deeper nesting still works correctly.

• Fixed a bug where a reply to a reply in a claim's debate could vanish. Rebuttal threads were capped at two levels deep in the UI — a third-level reply saved correctly but never appeared on the page. Fixed; nesting now continues as deep as the discussion goes.
• The comparison pages' side-by-side tables now translate. Previously only the row labels did; the actual comparison values were English-only regardless of your language setting.

• Added a Reddit share button on posts, alongside the existing share button — opens Reddit's own submit form prefilled with the post's title and link.

• Clarified /login copy. It read like a plain sign-in form; now it says a one-time link is emailed, and that a new address registers automatically — there's no separate sign-up flow to look for.
• Fixed the cookie-consent bar overlapping page content. It was a full-width bar covering interactive elements near the bottom of every page; now a compact corner toast instead.
• Fixed misleading rehearsal-mode "no account tier required" copy, which read as no account needed at all. An account and segment membership are still required — only the paid tier isn't.
• /feed no longer says "Your feed" to a logged-out visitor. Signed-out visitors get "Recent activity" instead, since what they're shown isn't personalized.
• Clarified the homepage rehearsal-mode CTA: "Try an argument privately first" now explains that drafts stay visible only to you until published.
• Labeled the Segment/Topic search toggle with a "Search by:" prefix and a real aria-label, for visitors seeing it for the first time.
• The changelog page now collapses internal/infra entries behind a "N internal/infra changes" disclosure, so it leads with what actually changed for users.

• Fixed /segments/new and the segment claim-composer rendering the live form to logged-out visitors. The auth wall previously only kicked in on submit — now both pages show a sign-in prompt up front, matching the pattern already used on /suggestions and /account/*.
• Fixed the /governance and /governance/board empty states. They previously just said "No governance documents published yet" with no context. Now they explain, in plain language, that the staff-only Review Panel makes SAF (Segment Advancement Fund) grant decisions today, and that an elected Approval Board is planned but not yet seated.
• Fixed /academic-activities: public copy was citing an internal repo file path directly, used "SAF" without defining it, and had no contact path for interested faculty. Now paraphrases instead of citing internal docs, defines SAF on first use, and adds a monitored contact address.
• Fixed /press: two placeholder notes ("in progress," "not yet set") read as internal dev notes to a visiting journalist. Reworded to a normal press-contact line.

• Added track-record profiles. Every author handle now links to a page showing their real debate history within that segment.
• Added a "debates wanted" queue — a homepage section and its own page surfacing claims that need more people arguing the other side, to help new segments get past the cold-start problem.
• Segment creation is easier: the URL slug now fills in automatically from the segment name, with a manual override if you want one, instead of asking you to type a slug yourself.
• Plain-language labels for the homepage's mechanic explanations, and a reframed intro for faculty considering an academic segment.
• Fixed help-article preview cards showing raw markdown — the "Saved posts" card and others were literally showing **Save** instead of bold text in the excerpt.
• Fixed a page-load stall for non-English visitors: a slow translation load could block the entire page, header included, with no loading indicator. Now only the part that needs translating shows a brief loading state.

• Translations now happen ahead of time, not while you wait. New posts, replies, and corrections get translated into every language in the background right after they're posted, instead of the first visitor in each language paying the wait. New UI text gets caught up automatically too.
• Fix: switching languages now shows you it's working. The language switcher used to look frozen with no feedback while a page translated — it now shows a small spinner while it updates.
• Fix: correction source types (Benchmark, CVE, Documentation, etc.) now translate instead of always showing the raw English word.
• Fix: a claim page's breadcrumb trail now translates its segment name.
• Fix: help tooltips ("?") and icon buttons now have a real background and a hover tooltip, instead of text floating over other text with no label on hover.

The biggest single deploy this project has had — everything below was committed over the prior several sessions and goes live together.

• Segment Advancement Fund (SAF): the full grant workflow. Members can now propose a real SAF grant, the segment votes on it, a reviewer runs it through a vetting checklist, and approved grants get a recorded disbursement — all against the segment's actual accrued SAF balance.
• Governance documents. Segments (and the platform) can now publish real versioned policy documents at /governance — definitions, rules, procedures, amendments, with a version history and a defined-term glossary. Segment-level documents can be amended by member vote.
• SAF performance dashboard. Every segment with SAF activity now has a real dashboard: proposal outcomes, vetting consistency, ledger integrity, and disbursement speed.
• Approval Board elections. A real platform-wide election system for a governing Approval Board — candidate declaration, member voting, term limits, and a two-step removal process — at /governance/board.
• Design system reference. A living reference of the site's actual colors, spacing, and type scale at /design-system.
• Academic & institutional segments. Segments can now be branded for a university or department, with faculty/student roles, structured claim citations, curated claim collections, achievement badges, a segment impact report, and drift monitoring for stewards.
• Segment marketplace, premium, and creator tools. Custom ring skins for your segment handle, a $5/mo cross-segment insights subscription, and $10/mo creator tools (scheduled publishing, draft collaboration).
• Segment friends and follows, a personalized /feed page (deliberately not infinite-scroll), and SEO foundations (sitemap, structured data, canonical metadata).

• Consistency tracking for personas (early). We now quietly notice when someone's tone or stance shifts a lot from their own usual pattern within a segment — visible only to the person themselves and to segment admins/staff for now, and doesn't affect anything else yet.

• Lysita project launches, seeded with real debate content across four initial communities: Web Development, DevOps, AI/ML, and Security.

• Reputation & opinion subscriptions (Phase 2). Every post now shows its author's reputation, built from the automated scoring introduced in Phase 1: original contributions, "counter-takes" that rebut someone else's argument, and corrections that get accepted all add to it; going quiet for a while lets it gently decay. Subscribe to a person whose takes you want more weight given to — their reputation grows faster with subscribers behind it.

• Security fix. The public list of a segment's members no longer includes each member's underlying account ID — only their per-segment handle, which is what the site has always shown. This closes a gap that could have let someone cross-reference a person's identity across two different segments, which runs against the whole point of segments having separate, non-transferable identities. Found during a five-specialist code review (QA, Security, PostgreSQL, Next.js, TypeScript).

• Smarter automated scoring, foundation (Phase 1). Claims, takes, debate entries, corrections, and comments are now automatically scored on depth, originality, cited evidence, clarity, and how much they invite real debate — using the weights and keyword dictionaries segment admins set up in Phase 0. This is still behind the scenes: nothing on the site changes yet based on these scores.

• Site version number, shown at the bottom of every page, linking here.

• Suggestions board. Propose changes to Lysita, or upvote ideas other users have suggested, at /suggestions.

• Roadmap page. A public look at what we're building next, at /roadmap.

• Segment scoring & dictionary controls (early). Segment admins can now tune per-segment scoring weights and keyword dictionaries in the segment settings panel. This lays groundwork for upcoming automated content evaluation — nothing changes yet for regular use of the site.

• Rehearsal mode. Save a Claim or Take as a private draft and publish it whenever you're ready — drafts are visible only to you.

• Blind-spot surfacing. On claims you've engaged with a lot, we'll occasionally surface a strong argument from the side you've been under-engaging with.

• Delete your account. Self-service account deletion is now available from your activity page.

• Content moderation. Segment admins and moderators can now remove posts, debate entries, corrections, and comments that violate community guidelines.

• Cookie consent banner. Choose Accept All, Essential Only, or Reject All for cookies. Essential cookies (like staying signed in) are never optional; Reject All puts the site into a read-only mode.

• Segment sponsorships and verified-source badges. Segments can now accept sponsorships (reviewed by segment admins before any payment) and grant verified badges to institutional or expert accounts.

• "How Lysita works" tutorial page, for new users trying to understand claims, corrections, and candor scoring for the first time.

• Accessibility and reliability improvements across the site, including better contrast in dark mode and fixes to several sign-up and posting flows.

• Voting on debate entries and corrections. You can now upvote/downvote individual for/against arguments and proposed corrections, not just the claim as a whole.
