Real-money decisions β Segment Advancement Fund (SAF) grant proposals β are currently reviewed and approved by Lysita's Review Panel, a staff-only committee. The SAF is the pool that sends 50% of a segment's sponsorship revenue to vetted outside nonprofits and causes.
Planned, not yet live: an elected Approval Board β six members elected by active users, plus at least one Lysita staff member β would eventually take over SAF grant decisions from the Review Panel. Candidates would run from within Lysita's own staff, elected by active members in a ranked-choice vote held roughly once a year. No election has been held and nobody is seated on this board yet.
