1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Lysita uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies Required for core functionality, including authentication (session and magic-link sign-in state), security, and load balancing. These cannot be disabled without breaking Platform functionality.
2.2 Functional Cookies Remember your preferences, such as community segment display settings, rehearsal-mode drafts, and language/translation preferences (used with our LibreTranslate-based translation caching).
2.3 Analytics Cookies Help us understand how users interact with the Platform (e.g., which features are used, claim engagement patterns) so we can improve functionality. Where required by law, these are only set with your consent.
2.4 Advertising Cookies Lysita does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain your consent before deployment.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., analytics providers, authentication infrastructure). We do not permit these providers to use Platform cookie data for their own independent marketing purposes.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
4.1 Cookie Consent Tool. Where required by applicable law (e.g., for users in the EEA, UK, or states with opt-in cookie consent requirements), we will present a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set.
4.2 Browser Controls. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in or using core Platform features.
4.3 Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, Lysita does not currently respond to them differently from other requests, though we will comply with binding legal requirements as they develop.

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically as our use of cookies evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" above and, where required, communicated to you for renewed consent.
