Lysita Community Guidelines

Effective Date: August 13, 2026

Lysita exists to make disagreement productive. These Guidelines explain the norms behind our claim, correction, and scoring mechanics, and what we expect from every user.

1. Core Principles

Argue claims, not people. Attack the assertion, not the person making it.
Correction is a contribution, not a weapon. Corrections should improve accuracy, not score points.
Candor is rewarded. Acknowledging when you're wrong strengthens your standing on the Platform, not weakens it.
Escalation has limits. Threads that spiral into repetitive conflict will be automatically capped.

2. Claims and Correction Markets

Post claims you believe to be true, or clearly frame speculative/exploratory claims as such where the Platform allows.
Submit corrections in good faith, with reasoning or sourcing where relevant.
Do not submit frivolous or bad-faith corrections intended to depreciate another user's authorship credit rather than to improve accuracy.
Coordinating with others to manipulate correction outcomes, candor scores, or authorship credit is prohibited and may result in suspension.

3. Prohibited Behavior

The following are not allowed anywhere on Lysita:

Harassment or targeted abuse of any user, including pile-ons coordinated off-platform
Hate speech or content that demeans others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
Threats of violence or content that incites harm
Doxxing — sharing another person's private information without consent
Impersonation of another individual or organization
Spam or unsolicited promotional content
Sock-puppeting — using multiple accounts to simulate independent agreement, disagreement, or correction

4. Segment-Specific Norms

Different community segments (e.g., IT professional community) may have additional norms appropriate to their domain (such as citation expectations for technical claims). These will be posted in segment-specific guidelines where applicable and operate alongside, not instead of, these Guidelines.

5. Rehearsal Mode

Rehearsal mode is a private drafting space. Content here is not subject to community moderation until published, but the same standards apply once you publish.

6. Enforcement

Violations may result in, at Lysita's discretion:

Content removal or annotation
Temporary restriction of posting or correction privileges
Escalation cap tightening on your account
Candor score adjustment
Temporary suspension
Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations

Automated enforcement actions (e.g., algorithmic escalation caps) can be appealed and are reviewable by human staff — decisions made by our systems are never final without a path to human review.

7. Reporting

If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it via privacy@aoqconsulting.com. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team; retaliating against a user for a good-faith report is itself a violation.

8. Appeals

If you believe a moderation or scoring decision was made in error, you may appeal via privacy@aoqconsulting.com. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator, not solely by the original automated system.

9. Changes to These Guidelines

We may revise these Guidelines as the Platform evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the Platform.
