Personal claims policy

Most segments don't allow Claims that target a named individual — the harassment and defamation risk is too high relative to the benefit. Trying to post one gets caught by entity detection and blocked, with a nudge to reframe around the organization or technology instead, or post it as a Take.

Some segments — celebrity or public-figure-focused ones, for example — legitimately need to allow this. When a segment turns personal claims on:

• At least one source becomes mandatory on every personal claim.
• Every post in the segment shows a persistent warning banner about the stricter sourcing standard and zero tolerance for personal attacks.

This setting locks the moment a segment's first post is published and can't be changed afterward — flipping it later would leave old content in an inconsistent state either way. If a community outgrows its original setting, the answer is to fork into a new segment rather than change the existing one.
