Joining a segment

Segments are Lysita's separate communities — each one has its own members, handles, candor scores, and rules, and none of that carries over between segments. You can be a completely different person (with a different handle and a fresh reputation) in "Web Development" than you are in "Security."

To join one:

1. Browse segments or search for a topic you're interested in.
2. Open a segment's page and pick a handle for that segment specifically.
3. Once you've joined, you can post Claims and Takes, debate, vote, and submit corrections within that segment.

You can join as many segments as you like — there's no limit, and nothing about your activity in one is visible from another.
