Falsifiability

Before you can post something as a Claim, you have to answer one question in a public field: what evidence would prove this wrong?

This is a structural requirement, not a formality — vague non-answers like "just my opinion" are rejected outright. If you genuinely can't describe a real disproof condition, that's a sign the statement isn't falsifiable, and the site will nudge you to post it as a Take instead.

A few examples of falsifiable disproof conditions:

• "A benchmark showing X is slower than Y under equivalent load."
• "Documentation or a changelog entry showing the feature was removed."
• "A CVE or postmortem contradicting the security claim."

If a claim technically passes the falsifiability test but its disproof condition is narrow or cherry-picked relative to what the claim actually argues, other members can flag it for a scope mismatch — a separate, lighter-weight signal than a full reclassification vote.
